Spending time at one of our allotments provides positive short-term and long-term health outcomes and improves social connections. People say that after attending they feel an increased connection to nature, reduced isolation and loneliness, and boosted well-being and confidence.
We all have fun and learn new skills.
Who is the group for?
Our allotment is a fantastic place to visit, to be at one with nature, enjoy some company, a chat and a cuppa. Of course, there are opportunities to help make the site even more spectacular, by joining in with planning, sowing, nurturing and maintaining the plants, vegetables, flowers, herbs and fruit.
There is ample space to be alone if you prefer, taking some time to think, engage with nature, benefit from some fresh air and simply enjoy your surroundings.
The allotments are open to everyone aged 18+.
You’ll get a warm welcome!
Volunteering at the allotment
Volunteers are an integral to our success. Our volunteers can help to support people to enjoy their time at the allotment, people who might benefit from some supportive company. We also welcome volunteers who may have, or would like to learn practical gardening skills and would like to share their experience.
